Maureen Denise McCormick was born on August 5 1956, in Woodland Hills California the youngest and only daughter of Richard and Irene McCormick. Her father taught school while her mother was a housewife. Michael Dennis Kevin, her two older brothers. McCormick began singing and performing from a young age. After winning the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest when she was just 6 year old Pat Domigan called from Jack Wormser Agency to see what she thought about getting into the world of entertainment. McCormick had her first significant role when she got a part as a television character in the 1964 commercial of Mattels latest baby doll Baby Pattaburp. She subsequently starred as Chatty Cathy in a commercial before being cast in The Wind It up and It's Broken at The La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch In 1969 McCormick was chosen from a field of 1,200 kids who auditioned for the chance to play the eldest of three daughters towheaded in the upcoming TV show The Brady Bunch starring Florence Henderson and Robert Reed as newlyweds with the family of a blended couple. The show lasted five seasons. McCormick in her memoir Heres the Story Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice Published in 2008, McCormick disclosed that during the 5th season of the show she almost lost virginity with her twin brother Barry Williams. She was 16 years old when the incident occurred and he was just 19. We would've had a couple, she added. The timing, however, wasn't just right.
