Mrs. Rivas holds a clinical license as a bicultural and bilingual social worker. She has over 13 years' experience within non-profits. She has worked with a variety of people, including LGBTQ+ and those with drug addiction problems. Since the beginning of 2019 the Mrs. Rivas is serving Erie's clients. Presently, telehealth mental health services are offered. Dr. Rivas works with women pre- and postpartum in the Perinatal Behavioral team. She is a specialist in trauma informed treatment and provides EMDR for adults. She also offers group and private counseling sessions, a Medication Assist Therapy Program and referrals to specialist care and Women's Support Group. Amanda is a tireless advocate for finding permanent homes for animals in need through her role as volunteer with the Best Friends Animal Society Volunteer. She is committed to her belief in the Best Friends motto, Save Them ALL and wants to see Los Angeles turn into a "no kill" city. Amanda pushes her limits to reach her goals.
